Organic Mosquito Control
You may be a very green person and try to do everything in your power to reduce your carbon footprint on the earth. However, remember that damp places also breed termites and you may need some sort of organic termite control method in addition to an organic mosquito control method.
Mosquito Barrier Or Garlic Barrier
Mosquito Barrier and Garlic Barrier are two types of organic mosquito control. These products repel adult mosquitoes from where they usually live, most especially underneath leaves. It also kills the mosquito larvae when it is applied to a breeding area of stagnant water. You use this product by mixing one part Mosquito Barrier or Garlic Barrier with one hundred parts water. You can also purchase these products pre-diluted so you only have to use ten parts water to every one part product. After you mixed the water with the product, add one part canola or soy bean oil to make the product stick. Finally, add the correct amount of liquid dishwashing soap. Spray this mixture on the areas of your garden or yard where you have the most problems with mosquito control. Make sure to spray areas where mosquitoes are known to rest, like plants, foliage, and undersides of leaves. The best time to spray is early morning or late afternoon. Please note that this mixture can also kill bees, so do not spray on any area where you need pollination.
Mosquito Control Larvicide
This organic mosquito control product kills the larvae and pupa stages of mosquitoes and is specifically designed for application to intermittently flooded areas, sloughs, log ponds, and temporary rain pools where festering water can create a breeding ground for mosquitoes. This organic mosquito control product does not leave a filmy oil or residue in the environment, and the active ingredients are simply mineral oil and inert materials. This product can be used year round and is effective during all seasons. Making the mixture is simple: simply mix with water as the instructions say, and apply.
DEET-Free Botanical Gel
The third type of organic mosquito control is DEET-Free Botanical Gel. This is organic mosquito control for your body. Simply apply this product every four hours to your exposed skin. It will organically control mosquitoes and other biting insects. The ingredients include neem oil, Aloe Vera, and other natural ingredients.
